Food at Acorns Day Nursery

We believe that mealtimes should be social, happy times where skills can be developed and foods tasted. Our tasty menus are designed to feed your child nothing less than a completely healthy and balanced diet. We have a 3 week rotating menu which can be seen below:

Meals may be adopted to suit a baby's individual stages of development, introducing a variety of tastes and textures. We ask you to provide sufficient pre-prepared bottles of formula milk, clearly labelled with your child's name.

  • A mid morning snack of milk, fruit & vegetables (occasionally a plain biscuit) will be offered.
  • A drink of water will be offered at every meal.
  • Water/Milk will be offered mid afternoon.
  • Fresh drinking water is available in all rooms throughout the day.
  • A mixture of wholemeal and white bread is provided.
  • Please note that menus may vary depending on availability of food products.
  • Please notify our Manager, in writing, if your child requires an alternative diet.
