Our Team at Acorns Day Nursery
Staff are appointed following a vigorous and careful selection process in accordance with Ofsted requirements, which includes obtaining an enhanced CRB and numerous references.
Parents can be assured not just of the experience and training of the staff caring for their children, but also the consistency of care. That's why we take pride in the low staff turnover within our nursery with majority of our original senior staff remaining, including the manager, deputy and room leaders.
Our staff hold various accredited qualifications such as NVQ (levels 2, 3 &4), NNEB, CACHE (level 3), BTEC and Degrees. We encourage staff to continue learning, to develop and update their skills by supporting them through training attending a variety of Child Care Courses, both externally and in-house.
Staff are trained to have an understanding of Health and Safety and use this as they carry out daily risk assessments. Staff also regularly update and obtain Basic Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding and Fire Marshall certificates.
