Baby Unit at Chestnuts Day Nursery

Continuity and stability of routine and care are very important to the well-being of the very young. We endeavour to emulate the routines followed by parents at home. Staff will discuss with you the individual requirements of your baby and  will aim to care for your child in much the same way as you do at home.

The Baby-Unit day is naturally very much governed by feeds and sleeps, activities taking place when the children are most receptive to them. The days activities reflect the individual stages of development that the various children have reached: they include songs & nursery rhymes, stories, heuristic play, construction toys, activity gyms, moving toys - and of course, older babies enjoy messy play / painting, water, sand, playdough and cornflour too!

Our nurseries have separate sleep rooms for babies which offer the optimum environment for them to rest.
